Miniature trigger switch for heavy duty control applications
A new miniature trigger switch for heavy duty control applications including industrial and domestic power tools has been introduced by Omron Electronic Components Europe. Its innovative design delivers dust, shock and vibration resistance within a very small overall size.
Proximity sensors equipped with IoT features for maintenance
OMRONhas released a total of 2,512 models of its DC 3-Wire E2E NEXT Series proximity sensors, which boast the longest sensing distances, newly equipped with IoT features. These sensors reduce risks of sudden facility stoppages down to a third. They also detect warning signs of such stoppages and notify users via the network. They help improve facility operation rates by preventing unforeseen facility stoppages and reducing facility down time.
High-performance frequency inverters save energy
A new series of high-performance frequency inverters have been launched by Omron to meet the changing demands of system integrators, machine builders and manufacturers. The RX2 series help ensure productivity, quality and reliability, along with easy customisation. The inverters are designed for applications such as filling control, press working and tension control, for both permanent magnet (PM) motors and induction motors.
Automated inspection solutions at SMTconnect
It has been announced that at SMTconnect in Nürnberg, 7th to 9th May, OMRON will present its intelligent, integrated and interactive automated inspection solutions that are hoping to be the driving force behind automotive quality standards, combined with robotics for flexible production. Visit OMRON, in Hall 4a, Booth 344 and 346.
The face is the focus for Image-sensing unit
An easy to mount and compact Human Vision Component (HVC) from Omron Electronic Components is available at Premier Farnell. The HVC incorporates ten different image sensing functions and a choice of wide angle and long-distance options to match users range needs for applications from digital signage and vending machines to home appliances and security doors.
productronica 2019 prepares to emulate 2017 success
The organisers of productronica 2019 in Munich (November 12-15) are looking to build on the success of the 2017 exhibition with a raft of new initiatives alongside a global gathering of exhibitors and visitors. To further enrich the electronic production mix the Semicon Europa will once again take its place alongside productronica at the Munich Messe.
High current relay for home appliance applications
It has been announced that Omron Electronic Components Business Europe has extended its popular G2RL power relay family with a new extra high capacity 23A model, for switching the heaviest current loads in home appliance, industrial and HVAC applications.
Whitepapers cover industrial technology applications
Three whitepapers to help design engineers take advantage of the latest technologies that optimise industrial applications and environments have been published by TTI. The papers explore machine vision and the way it is applied to user interfaces, discuss cobotics as an enabler for increased production flexibility and look at the role of sensor technology in improving Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) monitoring.
Buttons and switches addressing design needs
Touchscreens and membrane switches are useful for visual and low-profile control panels. However, some applications require designers to emphasise safety, ease of access, the switching of high voltages or current, a known configuration at power up, or robustness. For such situations, mechanical switches and buttons are often ideal, but designers need to choose carefully. Rich Miron, Applications Engineer at Digi-Key Electronics, explains.
