SLS detectors allow faster frame rates on thermal cameras
Two high-speed, longwave thermal cameras for demanding science and research applications have been introduced by FLIR Systems. The FLIR X6900sc SLS and FLIR X8500sc SLS were shown at the SPIE Defense and Commercial Sensing convention in Anaheim. Both cameras provide the faster frame rates, shorter snapshot speeds, and wider temperature ranges needed for the most demanding scientific research applications.
Thermal camera focuses on analysing and testing PCBs
Aiming to advance testing and diagnosis accuracy in the electronics industry, FLIR Systems has introduced the ETS320 thermal imaging solution for electronics testing in engineering benchtop environments. It is the first FLIR camera designed specifically for benchtop work in testing and analysing the thermal characteristics of electronic components and printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Thermal imaging cameras feature intelligent interchangeable lenses
FLIR Systems has announced three Exx-series advanced thermal imaging cameras for electrical, mechanical, and building applications: the FLIR E75, E85, and E95.
FLIR launches five thermal cameras
FLIR Systems announced the launch of five thermal imaging cameras in the first week of January, including two new third generation FLIR ONE thermal camera attachments for smartphones, two new dual sensor thermal cameras for drones, and a ruggedised compact thermal camera for home and building inspectors.
Machine vision market developments on show at Vision China
For the machine vision industry 2016 was a record-breaking year, especially on the Chinese market. Thanks to the promotion of Industry 4.0 and the strategy Made in China 2025, machine vision is becoming the greatest beneficiary of the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing in China. In addition to applications in manufacturing, machine vision also plays an important role in new fields such as 3D vision, intelligent transportation, self-dri...
Infra-red camera targets R&D, science
The X6570sc high-speed infrared camera offers the accuracy and microsecond-precision of FLIR's mercury cadmium telluride (MCT) detector paired with an intuitive user experience, so researchers can set-up quickly and get working faster. FLIR engineered the X6570scto provide researchers with measurement accuracy, advanced processing algorithms, and connectivity.
Thermal imaging babysitting the bats
The T1030sc thermal imaging camera from FLIR Systems is helping conservation and research efforts. Bats play a major role in our ecosystem, but due to numerous threats, bat populations have declined significantly over the years.
Three-in-one multimeter targets field applications
The DM284 imaging multimeter from FLIR is in stock at RS Components (RS). It is a high-quality professional all-in-one true-RMS digital multimeter and thermal imager targeting maintenance engineers, panel builders and electricians. The new device is for use in the field and especially for those working on commercial electric and light industrial applications or on HVAC systems.
Acquisition expands FLIR's presence in machine vision
The previously announced acquisition of Point Grey Research has been completed by FLIR Systems, for an aggregate purchase price of $259m in cash, or an enterprise value of $256m excluding Point Grey’s closing cash balance.
