Gen3 Systems at Southern Manufacturing
Gen3 Systems is exhibiting at Southern Manufacturing which starts on February 9. The GensonicStencil Cleaning system will be displayed with a 24in stencil frame. It uses a 40kHz on-contact ultrasonic transducer for high efficiency cleaning of stencil apertures and can be used either in conjunction with Gen3 stencil cleaning centres or is portable enough to be taken directly to the printer.
Increasing power device performance
When talking about Wide Band Gap (WBG) materials for power electronics applications, it’s usually GaN or SiC that spring to mind. This is a not a surprise - indeed SiC and GaN are currently the most advanced WBG technologies for power electronics applications.
New thermoplastic rack from Nexen opens up new motion control applications
Nexen Group Inc.’s latest generation of rack and pinion gears provides new opportunities in precision motion control. An alternative to traditional metal racks, the new thermoplastic Versa Rack delivers high corrosion resistance and durability, low maintenance requirements, medium accuracy and load-carrying capacity at a relatively low cost point.
GaN RF power transistors come in 10 to 200W ratings
Ampleon has announced the extension of its portfolio of GaN RF power transistors based on a 0.5um HEMT process technology. Comprising 10, 30, 50 and 100W devices, over ten transistors are currently available suitable for multiple applications such as drivers up to C band, through to 100 and 200W push-pull packages for use in final stages up to S band.
