Microsemi and Marvell have announced a joint reference design for use in G.8262-compliant SyncE applications. The solution was designed, built and tested using Microsemi’s ZL3015x family of SyncE network synchroniser chips along with Marvell’s Alaska 10G/40G Ethernet transceivers.

Qualcomm has announced that it has introduced four Snapdragon processors, aimed at enhancing user experience and connectivity for high-performance and high-volume mobile devices. TheSnapdragon 620and 618processors feature improved performance with integrated 64-bit ARM Cortex A-72 CPUs and the X8 LTE modem, whilst the425and 415processors both feature octa-core CPUs.

Sierra Wireless has introduced fourAirPrime embedded modules, based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon X7 LTE Modem and the first to support LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) networks worldwide. LTE-A is the latest generation of 4G LTE network standards, aimed at improving network capacity, throughput, data speed and operational cost-efficiency.
