Electrical industry urged to ensure compliance with wiring regulations
All electrical contractors must ensure they are up to date with the new requirements for BS 7671:2018, when the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations comes into effect on 1st January 2018. From the New Year all new electrical installations must be designed to comply with the standards and requirements set out in BS 7671:2018.

Demystifying EMC event continues successful run
Demystifying EMC 2019 will feature presentations on subjects from CISPR standardisation work to BREXIT. A warning has been issued by The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) that the lack of suitable role models for school-aged children is hindering the UK’s chances of addressing the engineering skills shortage, following new research showing that more than a quarter (27%) of 10 to 16-year olds don’t feel like they have a role model they can relate to.
