Toshiba Electronics- High-speed 16-channel constant current LED drivers with wide, high accuracy outputs
Toshiba Electronics Europe has launched two new LED drivers that deliver highly accurate constant currents of between 1.5mA and 90mA and offer high-speed serial data transfer rates up to 25MHz. The 16-channel TC62D748 and TC62D749 are ideal for high accuracy control of LED modules and LED displays built around multiple LED strings.
Toshiba's New Technology Cuts Phase Noise in Oscillation ICs for Wireless Communication
Toshiba announced that it has developed noise reduction technology that reduces jitter in radio-frequency signals, cutting phase noise by up to 90 percent. This breakthrough opens the way for a further migration to high-speed wireless communication chips for wireless LAN and WiMAX.
Toshiba - 19nm process NAND flash memory
Toshiba Electronics Europe, reinforcing its leadership in the development and fabrication of cutting-edge, high density NAND flash memories, today announced that it has fabricated NAND flash memories with 19nm process technology, the finest level yet achieved. This latest technology advance has already been applied to 2-bit-per-cell 64-gigabit (Gb) chips that are the world's smallest and offer the highest density on a single chip (8 gigabytes (GB...
Fibre optic modules provide Fast Ethernet links in industrial environments
Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) has expanded its TOSLINK family of fibre optic devices with new high-speed modules designed for Fast Ethernet fibre networks. The new duplex transceiver and simplex transmitter and receiver modules are ideal for motion control systems and other applications requiring Fast Ethernet links in industrial environments.
Toshiba’s low noise amplifier offers built-in bypass circuit in small and thin packages
Toshiba Electronics Europe has extended its family of SiGe amplifiers by integrating a low noise amplifier (LNA) with a bypass function into a single MMIC (monolithic microwave integrated circuit). The TA4029 helps to minimise power consumption in applications such as mobile TV. It also offers improved dynamic range and distortion characteristics of the tuner circuit by switching to low power bypass mode when high gain operation is not needed. T...
Power triac photocoupler provides 800V off state voltage
The new TLP3082 power triac photocoupler from Toshiba Electronics Europe features reinforced insulation and 5kV isolation voltage for AC safety applications. Specified with an off-state voltage of 800V, Toshiba’s TLP3082 consists of a zero-crossing (ZC) photo-triac optically coupled to a gallium arsenide (GaAs) infrared emitting diode. Maximum inhibit voltage for zero-crossing is just 20V, contributing to reduction of EMI emissions.
Single-chip inverters suit appliance and industrial motion control applications
Toshiba Electronics Europe has launched a new generation of single-chip inverters for brushless DC motor applications operating with voltages up to 500V. Available in PWM and non-PWM versions, the new devices integrate into a DIP26 package full three-phase inverter bridge operation and other key features including protection and integrated bootstrap diodes.
Power FET from Toshiba achieves an output power of 65.4W at 14.5GHz
Toshiba Corporation today announced that it has developed a gallium nitride (GaN) power field effect transistor (FET) for the Ku-band (12GHz to 18GHz) frequency range that achieves an output power of 65.4W at 14.5GHz, the highest level of performance yet reported at this frequency band. The main application of the new transistor will be in base stations for satellite microwave communications, which carry high-capacity signals, including high-defi...
