525MB/s SSDs to be presented at Embedded World 2015
At Embedded World 2015, Swissbit will be showcasing products that address the specific requirements of applications in the industrial, automotive and telecomms sectors.
SSDs target industrial, automotive & telecomms markets
For the first time, Swissbit presents its X-60 series of the SATA III Generation at electronica (A6.319). The latest firmware and hardware technologies combine for an impressive speed of up 490MB/s with the utmost reliability. In order to meet the requirements of applications in specific markets, Swissbit develops and produces specific models for each segment with technically adapted features.
DDR4 SODIMMs provide higher performance & consume less power
At electronica 2014, from 11th to 14th November, Swissbit will be presenting it’s first DDR4 ECC SODIMM. Using the 4th gen DDR,the device canachieve higher data rates than when used with the DDR3, while consuming the same amount of power consumption. Featuring optimised data bus termination, dynamic bus inversion and CRC protection of the command/address bus, the 8GB SODIMM is designed fornext-genembedded boards.
CompactFlash card offers long-term availability
The use of the most reliable SLC NAND flash technology available plus integrated power fail safety guarantees data reliability in Swissbit’s C-300 Longevity, a CompactFlash card with long-term availability through to at least 2021. Its feature set includes an optimised random write speed and backward compatibility, making the card suitable for demanding applications in the telecommunications and networking market, as well as applications re...
MICRO SD cards feature the latest security functions
Simplifying the creation of secure applications, Swissbit has expanded the PS-100u Security series with the PS-100u PE and PS-100u DP. These secure MICRO SD storage cards include new security functions, the PS-100u PE with an integrated smart card and the PS-100u DP without.
Flash memory card will see users through to 2021
Swissbit has christened its new CompactFlash card the C-300 Longevity with good reason. The product’s long-term availability will take it through to at least 2021. The card targets applications in the telecommunications and networking market as well as applications requiring maximum longevity due to time-consuming and cost-intensive re-qualification processes.
SD memory cards deliver up to 100x longer data retention
Designed for TCO-optimised applications, the S-40 and S-40u Series SD and Micro SD memory cards have been made available by Swissbit. Swissbit claim that these are the first SD and Micro SD cards on the market to feature autonomous data refresh that requires no intervention by the host or application. Further to these claims, Swissbit also boast that intelligent algorithms enable the memory cards to deliver up to 100x longer data retention than c...
Swissbit at embedded world: storage for all industrial applications
At embedded world (Hall 1 - Booth 520), Swissbit will be presenting the S-40 and S-40u series, the first SD and MICRO SD memory cards with autonomous data maintenance that require no intervention by host or application. This enables the memory cards to offer much longer data retention than conventional SD or MICRO SD cards.
Q&A explores new Swissbit's “Security” unit
Swissbit is stepping into the security market with its new business unit “Security”. Hubertus Grobbel, head of the new division, explains the background and reasons behind the move, as well as its goals.
Low-level data storage
Multi-level cell mass storage solutions cater for a number of applications, but industrial applications often require single-level cell NAND flash technology. Roger Griesemer, Head of Business Unit Flash Products at Swissbit, discusses further in this article from ES Design magazine.
