Power entry module designed for home medical equipment
The KMF power entry module from Schurter is for use in protection class II double-insulated applications and is now in stock at distributor Rutronik. It provides high functionality in a compact package, just like the popular module for use in protection class I. The new version is suited for medical equipment used at home.
Increased fire safety requirements for fuseholders
The fuseholder standard IEC/EN 60127-6 has been revised to improve fire safety. Effective in October 2017, manufacturers of fuseholders will only be permitted to market products that have been tested and authorised in accordance with the updated standard. SCHURTER will offer its customers upgraded solutions by the deadline.
Heavy duty fuse clip designed for voltages up to 1500VAC/VDC
SCHURTER expands its CSO heavy duty fuse clip family with a cost-effective tin-plated version. The CSO clip, designed for 10.3 mm diameter fuses, is suitable for applications with voltages up to 1500VAC/VDC and currents to 32A. These unique characteristics are SCHURTER's response to the increasing photovoltaic system voltage requirements.
Power entry modules exclude ground pins
SCHURTER expands its wide range of power entry modules to include versions, without ground pin, for use in protection class II double-insulated applications. The KMF power entry module is already very popular for use in protection class I equipment, due to its high functionality in a compact package.
Tin plated version joins heavy duty fuse clip family
The CSO heavy duty fuse clip family has been extended by Schurter with a cost-effective tin-plated version. The CSO clip, designed for 10.3mm diameter fuses, is suitable for applications with voltages up to 1500VAC/VDC and currents to 32A. It is available at distributor Rutronik. The CSO clip is available in solder and screw/rivet versions. The solder version allows direct mounting on a printed circuit board by means of through-hole technology.
SMD fuses qualified by the ESA for use in space
Following an intensive evaluation and qualification process in cooperation with representatives of the European Space and Research and Technology Center (ESTEC), SCHURTER's HCSF fuse has been certified. Eight years after the successful qualification of the MGA-S, SCHURTER is the only European supplier of fuses with this qualification.
IEC outlet with IDC terminals
The new IEC Outlet with IDC Terminals from Schurter is available at distributor Rutronik. The 4710 with insulation displacement contact (IDC) provides increased power ratings over the popular 6610 series for heavier duty PDU applications. The 4710 is a J style outlet according to IEC 60320, rated 20A at 250 VAC by UL/CSA and 16A at 250VAC by ENEC.
IEC outlet features IDC terminals to speed assembly
SCHURTER announces its latest IEC appliance outlet with insulation displacement contact (IDC) terminals, the 4710. The outlet provides increased power ratings over the popular 6610 series for heavier duty PDU applications. The 4710 is a J style outlet according to IEC 60320, rated 20A at 250VAC by UL/CSA and 16A at 250VAC by ENEC.
Metal line switches feature multicoloured illumination
SCHURTER is expanding its PSE, piezo metal switch and MCS 30, mechanical metal switch series, with new illumination possibilities powered by variable input voltages. Based on the used RGB colour technology, it’s now possible to indicate up to seven illumination colour options with just one switch. The variable power supply offers a homogenous and brilliant illumination within a voltage range of 5 to 28VDC.
Compact power entry module with filter features ground line choke
SCHURTER’s popular power entry module, KFA series, is now equipped with an additional ground line choke to suppress high frequency interference arising from ground loops on the ground line. In addition, the recently added ground line choke improves asymmetric attenuation in higher frequencies in medical filter versions.
