Cutting edge sensors point the way to San Jose
Cutting-edge sensor technologies from a variety of suppliers will be highlighted by Mouser Electronics at the Sensors Expo and Conference 2017,(27-29 June) at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. The Sensors conference has established itself as the leading event in North America focused on sensors, MEMS, and related technologies within the industry.
The first & only long-term stable metal-oxide gas sensor
At this year’s Sensor+Test 2017 in Nuremberg (May 30 – June 1), Sensirion AG introduces the SGP - thefirst and only long-term stable metal-oxide gas sensor. The SGP gas sensor is based on Sensirion’s multi-pixel platform, which integrates four gas sensing elements into a very small 2.45 x 2.45 x 0.9 mm3DFN package featuring a fully calibrated air quality output signal.
IoT solutions centre stage at Sensor+Test 2017
The focus will be on the RUTRONIK SMART range at Sensor+Test 2017 (May 30 – June 1). Complete solutions for smart applications within the Internet of Things will be featured. The Rutronik research partner, the Professorship for Measurement and Sensor Technology at Chemnitz University of Technology, will present its latest research results for energy harvesting, impedance spectroscopy, and sensors based on carbon nanotubes.
Sensors integrate technology onto single CMOS chip
The SPD800 series of CMOS technology digital and analogue differential pressure sensors from Sensirion is now available at RS Components (RS). Targeting high-volume applications, the sensors have been designed to measure the pressure of air and non-aggressive gases and deliver accurate and stable results covering a range of up to +/–500 Pa (+/– 5 millibars or +/– 2 inches of water), even at very low differential pressures.
IoT sensor applications to feature at Nuremberg show
Complete RUTRONIK SMART solutions for smart applications for the Internet of Things will be showcased by RUTRONIK at Sensor+Test 2017 (May 30-June 1 2017) in Nuremberg. The focus will be on the comprehensive portfolio of sensors, including MEMS sensors, pressure sensors as well as magnetic and optical sensors from leading suppliers.
Differential pressure sensors combine accuracy, stability & functionality
Sensirion presents differential pressure sensors from its SDP800 series. The sensor is the result of more than 15 years of experience in measuring air flow to millions of HVAC systems, car engines and patients. They consequently utilize the successful features of the SDP600 differential pressure sensor and come in the same proven housing, which enables easy integration.
Extension board enables development of on/off body detection
Sensirion has presented its SHTW2 Xplained Pro Dual Humidity and Temperature Extension Board for Atmel’s SAMD20 Xplained Pro Board. The extension board comes with two SHTW2 humidity and temperature sensors, enabling the development of new applications such as on/off body detection.
Low power GNSS receiver and more on show at embedded world
A new WiFi module will be launched by u-blox at embedded world, held in Nuremberg, Germany, on 14th-16thMarch 2017. New demonstrations will include WiFi and Bluetooth low energy sensor connectivity to cloud applications, the C030 application board for rapid prototyping of cellular IoT applications, the super low power GNSS receiver for portable applications, and a gas flow meter sensor using NB-IoT technology.First to be featured is a new WiFi mo...
Humidity extension board enhances battery management
The SHTW2 Xplained Pro Dual Humidity and Temperature Extension Board from Sensirion is now available at distributor Mouser Electronics. The new extension board for Microchip’s SAMD20 Xplained Pro Board features two Sensirion SHTW2 humidity and temperature sensors and acts as an intelligent circuit, enabling developers to incorporate on/off body detection for improved battery management.
EVK with flow element enables simple test measurements of SDP3x differential pressure sensors
Sensirion presents the advanced EK-P4 evaluation kit, which simplifies the evaluation of Sensirion’s differential pressure sensors even further. The kit combines all the features required for test measurement, including a flow element, so first measurements can be made cost-effectively and exceptionally quickly.
