Output models for buck-boost DC/DC converter series
TDK has announced the introduction of 12.5A 300W rated models to the i7C series of non-isolated DC/DC converters. The output voltage of these step-up and step-down converters can be adjusted from five to 28V and they accept a wide range input voltage of nine to 53V. The converters seamlessly transition from buck to boost mode operation without disruption in performance.
Mouser adds audio chip supplier to global linecard
Mouser Electronics has signed a global distribution agreement with ESS Technology, a supplier of audio chips.
Current sensor outperforms Hall Effect devices
In stock now at distributor New Yorker Electronics is the new SSA Smart Current Sensor series from Riedon.
Intepro’s compact PSB series of bidirectional and regenerative power supplies
Intepro Systems has announced the availability of its PSB series of programmable digital power supplies/loads. The PSB series are microprocessor controlled bi-directional supplies that feature two devices in one: an auto-ranging DC power supply and an electronic DC load with energy recovery. The bi-directional package replaces individual programmable sources and loads, and the regenerative load returns up to 95% of test energy to the grid.
eGaN FET for high power density solutions
Efficient Power Conversion has advanced the performance capability of low voltage, off-the-shelf gallium nitride transistors with the introduction of the EPC2055 (3 mΩ, 40 V) eGaN FET. This device is suited for applications with demanding requirements for performance in space-constrained form factors including USB-C batter chargers and ultra-thin point-of-load (POL) converters.
MinE-CAP IC reduces volume of AC/DC converters
Power Integrations has announced the MinE-CAP IC for high power density, universal input AC/DC converters. By halving the size of the high-voltage bulk electrolytic capacitors required in offline power supplies, this new type of IC enables a reduction in adapter size of up to 40%. The MinE-CAP device also reduces in-rush current making NTC thermistors unnecessary, increasing system efficiency and reducing heat dissipation.
Medical DC/DC converters 5,000Vac isolation
TDK has announced the introduction of the PXG-M series of medical and industrial 15 and 20W board mount DC/DC converters. Certified to the IEC 60601-1 and IEC 62368-1 standards for Medical and Audio/Video, Information and Communication Technology Equipment, the series has 5,000Vac reinforced isolation between input and output.
