LASER World of PHOTONICS 2011 to present the latest applications in semiconductor production, thin-film technology and sensor technology
As a key technology, microelectronics is the foundation for the success of the most important branches of German industry. 50 per cent of all industrial products manufactured in Germany now contain at least one electronic component. 8 out of 10 innovations in automobile construction already stem from the electrical engineering, electronics and IT industries. Optical technologies contribute a great deal to this dynamism: laser-based processes crea...
LASER World of PHOTONICS 2011 will present ultra-short pulsed lasers for micromaterial processing
New laser systems are making processes less energy-intensive and more accurate. In many cases innovative lasers enable certain production steps to be carried out, especially when micromaterial processing is involved – i.e. drilling, milling and cutting in the microscopically small range. The lasers used in this processes do not emit light continuously, they are “pulse” operated, i.e. they emit their light in time-limited, very short “puls...
Latest Applications will be key at LASER World of PHOTONICS 2011
Industry marketplace, think tank, knowledge forum, solution provider, source of momentum, networking – LASER World of PHOTONICS satisfies all these entirely different claims. Applications are the common denominator and are dealt with throughout the trade fair and the Congress. Optical technologies will become the focus of attention at the world’s leading trade fair and the World of Photonics Congress, which will be held one month earlier than...
Miniature goniometer stage completes ceramic motor driven micropositioning range
Complementing and completing Nanomotion's range of ceramic motor driven miniature positioning stages, the new FBG series goniometer is available in four stack sizes that combine to provide a common pivoting point for a two-axis tip/tilt angular motion set-up with a positioning resolution as low as 1 arc second. Available from Heason Technology, the low profile stages provide pivot axis radii of 71, 96, 102 and 137 mm.
UKIVA To Run ‘Aspects Of Imaging’ Seminars At Photonex09
The UK Industrial Vision Association (UKIVA) will be organising a series of free seminars at the Photonex09 Exhibition. The theme for this year’s seminars is ‘Aspects of Imaging’ and the Association is actively seeking feedback as to the sort of presentations visitors would like to see, to ensure that the content is as appropriate as possible. Suggestions can be made using a downloadable form, http://www.photonex.org/ukiva.php or by conta...
