ECOtality Inc and Texas Instruments Incorporated today announced TI will install 46 Blink Level 2 charging stations at 12 office locations throughout Texas, including nine at its corporate headquarters in Dallas. TI is the latest in a fast-growing list of leading companies to offer workplace charging benefits to employees.
“TI offers a variety to ways to help employees find alternative, innovative commuting methods, especially in North Texas where our largest employee population resides. Adding EV charging supports another commuting choice for our employees,” said Paul Westbrook, sustainable development manager for TI. “We can’t predict the future, but we can certainly help shape it through actions like this. Several TI employees bought or leased an electric vehicle shortly after we announced the EV charging station program.”

“As a leader in developing the nation’s EV charging station infrastructure, ECOtality is pleased to partner with TI to provide its employees convenient charging access while at work,” said ECOtality CEO Ravi Brar. “With this development, TI further demonstrates why the company is a longtime leader in corporate citizenship.”

Blink Level 2 commercial charging stations feature an intuitive and interactive seven-inch touch screen that allows users to easily manage their electric vehicle charging experience. The TI stations are part of Blink’s nationwide network, which can be easily found via the Blink Map, available online and on mobile devices.
