Individual beats Tesla and Fiat with EV world record

Technology expert and environmentalist, Eric Lundgren, has disrupted the electric vehicle industry by travelling 748 miles on a single charge in an electric car he built himself out of recycled materials, setting a new world record. Dubbed ‘The Phoenix’, this car cost less than $14,000 (£10,593) to build and beat the Tesla P100Dm, Nissan Leaf, Chevy Bold and Fiat 500e cars combined mileage. It breaks the world record as the car with the lowest carbon footprint and farthest range at highway speeds.

Built with 90% recycled materials, the purpose of The Phoenix is to demonstrate ‘Hybrid Recycling’, and help show the world what is possible from electric vehicles.

The Phoenix travelled 748 miles from Los Angeles to Sacramento, and then to both Apple and Tesla headquarters on a single charge. The world record breaking run was documented by YouTube star Jehu Garcia who has over 11 million video views on his YouTube channel.

With a client register of Fortune 500 companies including Nintendo, Motorola, Panasonic, Dell, Best Buy and more, Lundgren promotes that re-use is the purest form of recycling, and to put this into action he created a hybrid recycling plant in America called ITAP.

Electronic Waste is the fastest growing waste stream in the US, yet the country lacks a real solution to efficiently process this waste system. Most e-Waste is sent to a landfill at a financial costs and to the detriment of the environment, while other e-Waste is exported to third-world countries where inhumane processing methods lead to wide-spread injury and death.

After witnessing first-hand how e-waste is polluting the earth in his global travels, Lundgren created a real solution for the e-Waste epidemic. Through efficiency and innovation, his company identifies all generic parts and components of value and preserves them, rather than destroying.

They then extract and re-integrate into new applications. This hybrid recycling process decreases the demand for raw material production, conserving our natural resources and reducing our carbon footprint.
