Geo-contextual photo tagging with unmatched precision
Skyhook Wireless has been selected by San Francisco and Stockholm-based Narrative, the company that introduced the most wearable full HD camera featuring video and audio capabilities, to power geo-contextual photo capture on the Narrative Clip 2 camera. With the Skyhook integration, Narrative's consumers will now have access to improved location-based data and context with the moments and stories they capture and share with the world.
As the consumer wearable space continues to explode, product and app developers increasingly recognise that great location data is a foundational element to providing a tailored and dynamic user experience. Narrative is at the forefront of this contextual wearable revolution, and with the integration of Skyhook's global Precision Location solution, Narrative's users will now be able to geotag their photos and videos with unmatched precision.
"The best moments in our lives are unplanned, and Narrative's wearable cameras allow people to authentically and seamlessly capture those memories through photo and video in real time. But without context, the value of that content decreases," said Martin Kallstrom, CEO, Narrative. "Through our collaboration with Skyhook, people will record these moments with higher precision in the location context - with a simple tap of a finger."
"We are proud of the sophisticated engineering work that allows us to deliver our precise and accurate location to the world's tiniest camera," said David Bairstow, Vice President of Product at Skyhook Wireless. "We have created a unique location solution for wearables that's focused on battery preservation and minimal data transmission and we are excited to team with Narrative to offer users the ability to create and contextualise their photographic memories."
Skyhook Wireless will be exhibiting at the upcoming Wearable Technology Show, 15th & 16th March, ExCel, London. To register for the show, click here.
