Smart glasses offer a keyboard to type text
K-Glass, smart glasses reinforced with AR that were first developed by the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2014, with the second version released in 2015, is back with an even stronger model. The latest version, which KAIST researchers are calling K-Glass 3, allows users to text a message or type in key words for Internet surfing by offering a virtual keyboard for text and even one for a piano.

Robot transforms musician into three-armed drummer
Georgia Institute of Technology researchers have built a wearable robotic limb that allows drummers to play with three arms. The two-foot long "smart arm" can be attached to a musician's shoulder. It responds to human gestures and the music it hears. When the drummer moves to play the high hat cymbal, for example, the robotic arm maneuvers to play the ride cymbal. When the drummer switches to the snare, the mechanical arm shifts to the tom.

Smartwatch identifies verification through the user's veins
You strap to your wrist Samsung's latest smartwatch, and your identity is quickly verified by your veins. This technology could be available sooner than you might think. Samsung has filed a patent with the USPTO for a method by which a smartwatch user's veins are used to authenticate the identity of the person wearing the device. The watch would first take an initial reading of the vein, and use it to compare to future images.
