Würth Elektronik is enhancing its range of digital isolators with the introduction of a two-channel variant in an SOIC 8WB package (5.85 x 11.5 x 2.8 mm).

This new design features an isolation voltage of 5 kVRMS, making it particularly suitable for electronic devices operating in high voltage and EMC interference environments that require two-channel digital isolators with robust isolation capabilities. These isolators are ideal for high-speed applications, supporting data rates up to 150 Mbps, and are distinguished by their high common mode transient immunity (CMTI) to system noise of ±150 kV/µs.

SMT-mountable digital isolators are utilised for galvanic isolation in digital signal transmission, ensuring reliable data transfer without distortion or errors and protecting individuals or sensitive circuits from high voltage.

The WPME-CDIS (Capacitive Digital Isolator Standard) series, approved by UL 1577, is suitable for use in various applications such as test and measurement systems, battery management systems, solar inverters, industrial switching power supplies, motor controllers, and for isolating communication buses. In addition to the new components, the range already includes various two-channel and four-channel configurations with high or low default output.

Würth Elektronik also offers capacitive digital isolators with integrated DC/DC converters, designated as WPME-CDIP (Capacitive Digital Isolator Powered).
