Used T&M equipment market has new entrant
The market for used test and measurement instrumentation has a new entrant. Euro Electronic Sales has been established to specialise in selling superior quality items of used equipment - presenting an extremely effective way by which companies can gain access to the test hardware they need without heavy impact on their finances.
The company is building an extensive portfolio of products, previously used for rental purposes. The products encompass the industry’s leading manufacturers - including Agilent Technologies, Tektronix, Anritsu, Rohde & Schwarz, JDSU, EXFO, Teledyne-LeCroy, Aeroflex and Fluke.
If items are not in stock they can quickly be sourced for customers. Euro Electronic Sales will also buy pieces of equipment that are no longer required on a regular basis, allowing the current owners to bolster their cash reserves.
The instruments are attractive for companies with constrained budgets. They have tended to buy from relatively small brokers in used equipment, who can only offer limited stock. Euro Electronic Sales says its larger portfolio will make it easier for customers to find the right products for their applications. They will also supply a product history and a post sales service. All the products will be precisely calibrated and thoroughly checked to ensure that the highest degrees of performance and reliability are delivered. Standard accessories and consumables can accompany them, as well as comprehensive 12-month warranties.
“The difficult economic situation in which the industry finds itself is making acquisition of used test equipment an increasingly attractive alternative to purchasing expensive new equipment,” states Paul Pavli, Head of Business Development at Euro Electronic Sales. “Ensuring that the overall condition and operational dependability of such items is of course paramount, but often finding a reputable source, with an expansive portfolio of products plus in-depth technical support, is very difficult. This means that engineering and procurement staff are not always in favour of buying used equipment.” “With the establishing of Euro Electronic Sales all this is about to change. Instead of dealing with small scale supplier, it will now be possible to engage with a multinational firm that offers the broadest possible choice of products meeting the highest quality standards and a commercial network that spans across the whole of Europe and beyond,” he concludes
