Texas Instruments demonstrates Windows Embedded Compact 7 board support package, unleashing full performance capabilities of ARM® Cortex™-A8 devices
Showcased in a product demonstration at the Computex exhibition, Texas Instruments Incorporated featured Microsoft Windows Embedded Compact 7, the next generation of Microsoft’s widely used Windows Embedded CE platform for hardware manufacturers of specialized devices Windows Embedded Compact 7 delivers a toolkit for hardware manufacturers and developers to bring high performing, reliable and differentiated specialized devices to market quicker with support for multi-core and the latest ARM®-based architecture, including TI’s Sitara™ platform of ARM Cortex™A8 devices for point-of-service, industrial human machine interfaces (HMI) and consumer user interfaces.

Windows Embedded Compact 7 aids multi-tasking and provides an immersive Web browsing experience with support for Adobe Flash 10.1 within Internet Explorer.
