Spectrum analysers provide performance for limited budgets
A series of spectrum analysers featuring a compact design and 10.1in touchscreen have been unveiled by Rigol Technologies. They are based on the Rigol-developed Ultra-Real technology as a complete platform. The new models are available with 1.5GHz and 3.0GHz bandwidth.
The RSA3000E series covers a wide range of applications, and can also be used as a scalar network analyser thanks to the additional 1.5 or 3.0GHz tracking generator.
The frequency range extends to 3.0GHz with a Displayed Average Noise Level (DANL) ≤161dBm and ≤102dBc/Hz phase noise.
The real-time analysis bandwidth is up to 1 MHz, the Resolution Bandwidth (RBW) is 1Hz and as low in the class of instruments. USB, LAN and HDMI are available for communication.
The spectrum analysers have a modular structure and provide four measurement modes: RTSA – Real-time Spectrum Analyser up to a maximum bandwidth of 10MHz; GPSA – Spectrum Analyser with outstanding performance; EMI – Pre-compliance tests according to CISPR specifications; VSA – For ASK/FSK demodulation and bit error rate test
Real-time spectrum analysers perform important functions in many test labs and are often associated with high costs.
Rigol says the analyser provides a cost-effective alternative for users with demanding analysis tasks and limited budgets at the same time.
It features fully digital Intermediate Frequency (IF) technology for accurate and high-resolution measurements from 9kHz to 3.0GHz. Options and tools include the ASK/FSK demodulation software, the Advanced Measurement Kit AMK, and the Ultra Spectrum PC software.
The series is available as four different models: RSA3015E and RSA3015E-TG as well as RAS3030E and RSA3030E-TG.
