PHABRIX prepares comprehensive test & measurement showcase
PHABRIX is set to showcase its range of instruments at NAB 2024, featuring the Qx, Rx, and Sx Series.
Together with its parent company, Leader Electronics, PHABRIX will present an array of testing and measurement solutions tailored for every phase of broadcast and media production, including on-set, studio production, post-production, broadcast quality control, and video technology manufacturing. The NAB Show, a key annual event for the industry, is scheduled to take place from 13-17th April at the Las Vegas Convention Centre.
Highlighted at booth C5521 will be the latest enhancements to the Qx Series of rasterisers and waveform monitors, which includes the Qx, QxL, and QxP models. These updates introduce support for the detection and analysis of SMPTE Full Range video standards, enabling creators to ensure their content meets the highest quality standards. The Qx Series now offers the capability to produce video standards in Full Range, Full Protected (FP) Range, or Narrow Range (NR) for IP ST-2110, and Full Range (FR) or Narrow Range (NR) for IP ST 2022-6 and SDI formats. Additionally, the Qx Series' analyser now facilitates colour content verification across various video formats.
Key features of the Qx Series to be showcased at NAB 2024 include:
- An advanced EUHD option in the QxL rasteriser and QxP portable waveform monitor, supporting UHD and 4K HFR (High Frame Rate) extended video formats in ST 2110, catering to video walls and advanced media processing applications
- Comprehensive legacy SD analysis, providing full support across SD-HD-UHD-EUHD formats without the need for equipment upgrades
PHABRIX will also introduce new functionalities for its Rx and Sx Series to attendees at the NAB Show:
- The Rx Series of advanced rasterizers will feature Enhanced Gamut Monitoring, building on the 2023 introduction of a new 6-bar gamut toolset for comprehensive 2K/3G/HD/SD signal generation, analysis, and monitoring
- The Sx Series of handheld devices will be represented by the Sx TAG hybrid IP/SDI and analog generation, analysis, and video/audio monitoring tool, underlining PHABRIX's commitment to versatility and innovation in broadcast testing and measurement
