P25 Trunking option for the 3900 Series Radio Test Set
Aeroflex has announced an option for the its 3900 Series Digital Radio Test Set to support P25 Trunking. The 3900 Series is the latest generation of Aeroflex radio test systems to support current and future technologies for the Land Mobile Radio industry. The newest version, the 3920 Digital Radio Test Set, was released in June 2007.
Desi“The 3900 Series is a platform for expansion and already supports a number of new digital technologies including TETRA P25 conventional, and HPD® technology. Now with the additional P25 trunking capabilities offered on the 3900 Series, Aeroflex continues to lead the market in testing new land mobile digital radio standards,” said Rob Barden, director of product marketing, Aeroflex Test Solutions. “The 3900 Series represents the third generation of radio test sets and includes a number of features developed from our highly successful IFR 2975 P25 Radio Test Set. We are seeing an even higher level of success for the 3900 Series.” Additionally, this new trunking option allows P25 end users to quickly establish pre-defined setups for quick recall when testing large numbers of radios. The System Plan configuration function provides the capability to configure the 3900 Series similar to a repeater with the ability to define WACN, SYS ID, RFSS ID, SITE ID and other message functions associated with P25 control channel emulation.
When combined with option 390XOPT200, the 3900 Series also provides powerful, yet easy to use analysis of P25 parametric performance including Power, Frequency Error, C4FM Modulation Fidelity as well as an Eye Diagram, Constellation and Distribution plots of the P25 symbols.
With lab quality performance, these exclusive features allow users of the 3900 Series Radio Test Sets to isolate problems quickly and accurately in any P25 radio system and confidently simulate P25 trunked environments before placing new or repaired radios on their P25 network.
