Spirent Launches Performance Measurement System for HD Voice and Voice over LTE
Spirent Communications today announced the launch of Spirent Nomad HD call and voice measurement system. As VoLTE deployments ramp up, and early device support for the technology varies in implementation and performance, Nomad HD provides critical voice quality analysis for HD voice and VoLTE services on any device, across any network.
As t“Spirent recognizes the industry’s push to deploy VoLTE services and realizes that its success depends on consistent, reliable and comprehensive testing,” said Spirent’s divisional vice president, Des Owens. “With Nomad HD, operators can ensure that VoLTE delivers the same or better voice quality as the previous generation of voice services and can invest in the future with confidence.”
Nomad HD offers globally accessible service end points in the cloud. It supports all mobile devices, regardless of operating system or radio access technology, and is deployable in both lab and field test configurations. Nomad HD additionally provides two operational modes that distinctly address narrowband and super-wideband communication in a single box. The solution can be deployed with the other Spirent Service Experience measurement products - Datum and Chromatic, to enable simultaneous voice, data and video test scenarios that represent the way real customers use their devices and consume services. Nomad HD is a critical component in Spirent’s Fit4Launch and Insights programs, as well as Spirent’s field and Live2Lab performance test solutions.
