New A/C outlet Analyser & Wrist Strap Tester for enhanced ESD security
Inelco Hunter, a partner of Desco Europe, has introduced the new A/C Outlet Analyser & Wrist Strap Tester, designed to ensure ESD protection and workplace security. The device verifies proper A/C outlet wiring, provides a grounding point, and tests the path-to-ground integrity of an operator's wrist strap, helping to maintain ESD compliance.
Available in two models—one with a UK Type G plug and the other with a European Type F plug—the testers connect to the Desco 770043 Multi-Ground Hub. They evaluate operator path-to-ground resistance, adhering to IEC 61340-5-1 and ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards, with test ranges from 750 kilohms to 35 megohms.
Equipped with both visual and audible indicators, the testers display pass/fail results for outlet wiring and wrist strap performance. NIST-calibrated, the devices meet stringent standards traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, offering verified common ground points for ESD control items such as mats, tools, and carts.
