METexpo: PHABRIX T&M showcase
PHABRIX has announced that its Distributor Partner for Australia, AV Group Technologies, will be exhibiting several of its products at the relaunched METexpo show.
Scheduled for March 5-7 at Royal Randwick, Sydney, the revamped show – produced by SMPTE Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific in conjunction with event organiser Visabel – will feature a show-floor full of the technology and trends that are driving the industry, as well as a conference program exploring the diversity of business and technology expertise and innovation.
Based in New South Wales, AV Group Technologies provides distribution for some of broadcast and media technology’s biggest names, including Cobalt Digital, Wohler, TSL and FOR-A – and PHABRIX, for whom the company will be showcasing a trio of leading innovations across the three days of METexpo 2024 (Booth 31).
Headlining the PHABRIX exhibit is the QxP 12G-SDI and 25G-IP next-generation portable waveform monitor. QxP inherits all the class-leading features of the QxL rasteriser – including an integral 3U multitouch LCD screen, an integral V-Mount or Gold-Mount battery plate, integral mains PSU and 12v external DC input – along with 12G-SDI and 25G ST 2110 compliance, ensuring that broadcasters are fully equipped to support both legacy and the latest (IP) workflows.
Further recognising that SDI continues to have a huge footprint in the industry, AV Group Technologies will also be showing the Rx 2000 rasteriser, which offers up to 4 channels of 2K/3G/HD/SD-SDI video/audio analysis and monitoring (dual inputs per analyser), and can also provide signal generation. A maximum of 16 instruments can be presented simultaneously for video analysis and eye/jitter testing via an external display, while monitoring of instruments and video can also be performed using dual built-in screens and audio speakers.
Completing the PHABRIX presentation at METexpo will be the Sx TAG portable hybrid IP/SDI and analog generation, analysis and video/audio monitoring instrument. Providing users with incredible versatility in a handheld device thanks to its SFP, SDI and analog I/O, Sx TAG is ideal for IP, 3G/SDI, HDMI and analog test & measurement, as well as AES eye analysis, in those applications where true mobility and ease of use are paramount.
Martin Mulligan, CEO at PHABRIX, comments: “Australasia has been a highly dynamic market during the past decade, so it’s great to see that SMPTE has relaunched its METexpo event so it can more fully represent and respond to the remarkable innovation taking place in technology for broadcast, streaming, content creation and more. We are living through a period of significant technological diversity, with both SDI and IP being used widely across different media sectors. The ability to access versatile and easy-to-use T&M products is therefore a universal requirement, and thanks to AV Group Technologies’ end-users from Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific and beyond will have a welcome opportunity to find out how some of our leading products can meet their needs.”
