Powerful USB2.0 protocol analyzer for cost-conscience developers from Teledyne Lecroy
Teledyne LeCroy has launched a low-cost USB 2.0 analyzer that provides many of the same powerful features as its top-selling Voyager system in a new, pocket-sized form factor. Priced at only $875, the base model Mercury T2 includes hardware triggering and full device class decoding, allowing it to address a wide range of USB 2.0 debug applications.
The With USB growing in the consumer electronics and embedded device market, the new Mercury T2 analyzer becomes an enabler for every developer looking for fast and easy USB validation tools, said Michael Romm, Director of Product Development at LeCroy Protocol Division. The Mercury T2 utilizes the same software as LeCroy's market-leading Voyager analyzer, making it an affordable solution that does not compromise on features.
The Advanced model, priced at $1199, adds up to seven levels of sequential event triggering to enhance the system's ability to capture and debug intermittent or corner-case problems. Script-based automation and post-process verification are also available in the Advanced model.
Both versions of the Mercury T2 benefit from innovative analysis features pioneered by the developers of the original CATC Trace display. Packets are automatically grouped into higher level transactions. Reports are generated that show bus utilization, performance metrics and error statistics that help reduce debugging time and accelerate time-to-market for USB 2.0 devices, systems, and software.
