Keysight Technologies signs up to South Korea 5G Forum
The march towards 5G wireless communication has started and Keysight Technologies has positioned itself as a leading player by announcing membership in the Korea 5G Forum. The Forum was founded by the Ministry of Science, ICT (information and communications technology) and Future Planning (MSIP) to lead the development of 5G mobile wireless communications and to commercialise 5G technology.
The forum cooperates internationally on standardisation, research and development, and in creating an ecosystem for the next generation of wireless communications.
Global 5G technology development is a catalyst for meeting the explosive growth in mobile internet access.
The South Korea ministry created the 5G Forum in cooperation with telecommunications companies, semiconductor companies, academia, and research institutes. Keysight will actively participate and collaborate with the 5G Forum to establish development strategies for the future of mobile telecommunications alongside industry and academic professionals.
“We are proud to be a member of the 5G Forum,” said Duk-Kwon Yoon, Keysight South Korea president and general manager. “This underscores Keysight’s commitment to being the premier 5G test solution provider. We will continue to actively participate with strategic industry leaders to advance the development of this exciting and vital next-generation wireless technology.”
“Our work with the 5G Forum in South Korea and key industry leaders in this important part of the world is a critical part of our global participation in the advancement of 5G technology,” said Roger Nichols, Keysight 5G program manager. “This is a significant step and we look forward to this collaboration and to addressing the test and measurement challenges during the deployment of the next-generation of wireless communication devices.”
