IPETRONIK releases new version of IPEmotion: V01.07
IPETRONIK today announced the release of version V01.07 of its IPEmotion software for acquiring measurement data. The new version offers another set of numerous enhancements. New functions include PID controllers and function generators, the conversion of traffic data into signal-based data via CANdb and LDF files and the import of TESTdrive video data format (DAT). Beyond this, the software supports the online saving and offline export of measured data in other formats like MDF-4, BLF, Famos and KML. The KML format, for instance, makes it possible to display GPS data in programs such as Google Maps.
OptiAn optional license with control functions is available for IPEmotion V01.07. Any number of PID controllers can be configured in order to accomplish control tasks. The control parameters for the reset time, hold time and gain can be set online, and a configurable function for limiting control values prevents major changes to the control process. The maximum control speed is 1 kHz. Function generators are available for providing signals on digital or analog outputs at rates of up to kHz. Besides the standard functions (ramp, saw tooth, sinus and rectangular waves), signal output can also be accomplished from files – such as driving profiles, for instance.
Converting traffic data
Before the measurement begins, it is often not possible to know all of the signals that will have to be recorded. For this reason, this new version of the software makes it possible to acquire all traffic data on the CAN or LIN bus and convert them to signal based data later. In this mode, all of data are acquired as messages. In order to convert these messages back into signals after the acquisition, the analysis features provide the possibility of specifying a DBC or LDF file for each traffic channel. This file is then used to convert the messages back into signals.
Well-organized screen display
As another new feature, a background photograph can be assigned to every screen page in the IPEmotion user interface. IPEmotion display elements – such as bars, indicators, y-t diagrams, etc. – can then be placed on top of these background images in a way that clearly depicts test beds, for example.
About IPEmotion
IPEmotion is a powerful software solution for online configuration, storage, processing, visualisation, evaluation, and automation. With its intuitive handling and simple connection to any measurement system, IPEmotion ensures maximum flexibility for all measurement tasks. Innovative program libraries and a plug-in concept based on the open-source principle ensure smooth communication with any measurement hardware. Measured values can be visualised in real time, and standardized description files, such as CANdb, LDF, A2L can be used for configuration. To simplify further processing in downstream processes, such as Excel, the measurement data can be stored directly in many common formats. IPEmotion is available in four editions, and is available for testing free of charge for 30 days. Additional information about IPEmotion is available at www.ipemotion.com.
