Farnell unveils 10 MHz LCR meter
The recently introduced R&S LCX series of LCR meters from Rohde & Schwarz is now being shipped by distributor Farnell.
Farnell says this is the first general purpose LCR meter in the Test and Measurement sector to feature an extended frequency range up to 10 MHz for AC components.
For engineers selecting suitable capacitors, inductances, resistors, and analogue filters to match a device application, these models offer high precision impedance values.
The instruments can effectively take all industry standard impedance measurements as well as specialised measurements for selected component types.
They offer the high accuracy required in research and development and the high speed needed for production test and quality assurance.
Key features include:
- Frequency range: The R&SLCX100 LCR meter covers the frequency range from 4 Hz to 300 kHz while the R&SLCX200 has an upper frequency limit of 500 kHz and can be extended to 1 MHz or 10 MHz using available software.
- Versatile functionality: All the essential software and hardware required for production environments is available, including remote control and result logging, rack mounting and a full range of test fixtures for handling components.
- Easy to use: Modern and intuitive operation thanks to a large capacitive touchscreen, virtual keyboard to support tap-and-test measurements. Frequently used functions are directly accessible via the front panel keys.
- Applications: The high performance impedance meters are suitable for testing most devices operating at conventional 50 or 60 Hz domestic power frequencies through to 400 Hz for aircrafts. The R&S®LCX series can also measure low frequency seismic sensors and high-power communication circuits operating at several megahertz.
James McGregor, Global Head of Test, Tools & Production Supplies at Farnell, said: “Rohde & Schwarz has been manufacturing industry-leading technology for decades and this latest introduction to their Essentials Portfolio is no different. This breakthrough product series greatly expands the measurable frequency limit to 10 MHz while key automation setup features, such as the integrated transformer measurements, and touch display enable our customers to take faster and more reliable measurements than ever before. We are excited to bring the R&SLCX family of LCR meters to our global customer base.”
