Computrol has purchased two Mirtec MV-7 OMNI 3D In-Line AOI Machines and installed them at its Meridian, ID facility. Computrol selected the machines following the success it has had with the systems installed at its Orem, Utah facility in 2014.

“With the purchase of the two new MIRTEC MV-7 OMNI 3D AOIs, we now have four MIRTEC MV-7 OMNI’s between our two facilities,” said James Spencer, Engineering Manager for Computrol. “With the addition of 3D inspection, we are now able to find more defects in the line so that we can respond to process issues at our Idaho plant in real-time. We have been very impressed with the first two AOI systems and the service that we’ve received from MIRTEC, and are excited to ramp up our capabilities at our Idaho facility.”

“We at MIRTEC are extremely focused upon providing the industry’s most technologically advanced 3D inspection solutions to our valued customers,” said Brian D’Amico, President of MIRTEC’s North American Sales and Service Division. “We are very pleased to welcome Computrol, Inc. to our growing family of satisfied MIRTEC customers. We look forward to a long a prosperous relationship between our two organizations.” The MV-7 OMNI 3D In-Line AOI Machines are configured with MIRTEC’s OMNI-VISION 3D Inspection Technology which combines an exclusive 15MP 2D ISIS Vision System with MIRTEC’s revolutionary Digital Multi-Frequency Quad Moiré 3D system to provide precision inspection of SMT devices on finished PCB assemblies. The MV-7 OMNI features four 10 Mega Pixel Side-View Cameras in addition to the 15 Mega Pixel Top-Down Camera
