Anritsu has announced enhanced DVB-T/H measurement capability for its industry leading MT8222A BTS Master and MS2721B Spectrum Master handheld products. The enhancements build off the measurement capability of the first version of DVB-T/H measurement capability by offering a more intuitive and streamlined graphical user interface (GUI), a minimum 40% measurement speed improvement and better compatibility of stored measured data.
The DVB-T/H Digital Video options are specifically designed for deploying, installing, coverage checking and maintaining both multi- and single-frequency DVB-T/H broadcast networks. Measurements that can be made when the options are installed in the MT8222A and MS2721B include signal power, modulation error ratio (MER), impulse response delay profile, and constellation. Additionally, a new composite view measurement screen allows users to see all key measurements simultaneously.

Weighing less than 4 kg, the MT8222A is the smallest, lightest, and most economical handheld solution for complete 2G/3G/4G and broadcast testing. The MS2721B is the most advanced ultra-portable 7.1 GHz spectrum analyzer on the market. Its broad frequency coverage and excellent sensitivity, coupled with a wide selection of resolution bandwidths, make the MS2721B well suited for the most challenging field environments.

The DVB-T/H broadcast standards are the most widely adopted digital terrestrial television technologies in the world today. More countries are integrating DVB-T/H as bandwidth demand forces governments and broadcasters to accelerate their plans to switch off analogue television transmissions. Anritsu continues to support these technologies and the enhancements to the DVB-T/H Digital Video measurement functions improve the testing efficiency, leading to faster roll-outs of these networks.
