PIR movement detectors control interior and exterior lighting installations
The 18 Series of PIR movement detectors from Finder has been extended to include a new model that operates outdoors in addition to the existing indoor model. The units detect body heat to control lighting in a range of applications, including energy saving and security.
New computer is big on performance and low on price
Costing less than £200 for minimum quantities, the new EBX format Vega86-6240 from ICOP Technology UK has a range of features which you would normally expect to be be found in a far more expensive computer.
Remote Monitoring & Diagnostics of Serial Devices
LAVA Computer's latest addition supports diagnostics of serial devices such as PLCs, ECRs (Electronic Cash Registers), and other RS-232 equipment. Providing a bi-directional 'pass-through' data route between two serial devices, the LAVA DataTap-IP taps into serial data streams to port this data over IP, and additionally to a remote server, client, or COM port.
Temp Loggers log data to CompactFlash cards
Measurement Computing Corporation has announced two new temperature loggers. The USB-5201 logs data from J, K, R, S, T, N, E, & B type thermocouples whereas the USB-5203 logs data from the same thermocouple types, as well as RTDs, thermistors, and semiconductor temperature sensors.
Low-cost Temperature and Humidity Devices
Measurement Computing Corporation has announced the addition of two battery powered temperature dataloggers to its growing datalogger line. These battery powered dataloggers are offered in two models: the USB-501 for remote temperature logging, and the USB-502 for remote temperature and relative humidity logging.
14-bit analog input USB module fills a gap
Measurement Computing Corporation has announced a low-cost USB analog input device. The USB-1408FS provides 8 single-ended or 4 differential analog inputs, 14-bit resolution in differential mode, 13-bit resolution in single-ended mode, 8 software selectable input ranges, with sample rates up to 48 kilosamples per second.
Portable Digital Sound Level Meters
Utilizing a standard 9V battery as the power source, the Model 735 and 732A from B&K are hand-held sound level meters and incorporate an easy to read, back-lit LED display for clear reading in the darkest environments.
