The 7Layers test & engineering center in Korea has received Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) authorized status. 7Layers can now perform MirrorLink certification testing, thus helping to ensure interoperability between in-vehicle infotainment systems and drivers’ smartphones.
The Car Connectivity Consortium is a group of the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers, handset manufacturers, systems suppliers and consumer electronics makers. CCC is developing the MirrorLink™ specifications and guidelines to ensure “seamless, safe, effortless and delightful user experience when using a smartphone in a car”.

7Layers Korea is one of the first labs in the world to achieve CCC authorized Test Lab Status and is performing official MirrorLink™ testing and certification in its laboratories in Suwon. Certification testing in authorized 3rd party test labs is necessary for manufacturers of head units and consumer electronics that want to achieve a MirrorLink™ Certificate. MirrorLink™ certification testing in an authorized test laboratory will be applicable from January 2012 onwards.

7Layers is a global group of engineering & test centers with years of experience in wireless communications testing, certification and type approval services.
