The STS4L is the newest member of Sensirion’s STS4x temperature sensor range, designed specifically for applications where cost and space are crucial considerations.

With refined accuracy specifications, it delivers high performance and benefits from some of the best lead times in the industry.

The STS4L is a fully digital, cost-effective temperature sensor designed for applications where space and budget are at a premium, offering an accuracy of ±0.4°C. It includes advanced signal processing capabilities, three unique I²C addresses, and supports communication speeds of up to 1MHz. With a compact size of just 1.5 × 1.5 × 0.5 mm, the STS4L is straightforward to integrate into various designs, and its broad supply voltage range and low power consumption make it especially suited for battery-operated devices.

Manufactured in Switzerland, the sensor has been optimised for seamless integration into high-volume applications, benefiting from its surface-mount design and tape & reel packaging. It features a high signal-to-noise ratio, excellent process capability, and has demonstrated long-term stability and reliability in operation.

The STS4L combines exceptional cost-efficiency with high performance compared to other sensors in its category.

"The STS4L enables vast new applications thanks to its adapted accuracy, compact size, and exceptional cost efficiency," explained Manuel Moriano, Product Director Temperature and Humidity Sensors at Sensirion. "This allows us to address the needs of diverse markets, from wearable technology to smart home devices, where space and cost constraints are critical.
