In stock at authorised distributor DigiKey are Banner Engineering’s radar sensors.

These sensors reliably detect moving or stationary targets and ignore the effects of ambient weather or light conditions, including rain, wind, snow, fog, steam, dust, and particulates.

Lower-frequency radar can see high-dielectric objects, including cars, trains, trucks, and cargo.

Higher frequency radar can see a wider array of objects and will be more robust than an ultrasonic sensor in most applications, including outdoors.

Radar sensors are ideal for vehicle detection, collision avoidance, tank level monitoring, and other applications.

Banner’s radar sensors feature rugged IP67 or IP69k housings, and some models use the Banner measurement sensor software to simplify device configuration.

The Q90R series radar sensors feature a robust design, versatile performance, an intuitive interface, and enhanced configuration capabilities. They easily integrate with machine control systems, and built-in indications streamline troubleshooting. The Q90R2 delivers more information, including additional feedback on targets and a highly configurable field of view for precision positioning and control.

The K50R series radar sensors provide reliable, cost-efficient sensing for challenging environments. These radar sensors are an excellent alternative to long-range ultrasonic sensors. They provide superior and consistent operation in any environment, simple integration, and streamlined troubleshooting.

The T30R series radar sensors provide reliable detection of high-dielectric targets (like metal or large amounts of water) and lower-dielectric materials (such as wood, rock, or organic material) in a wider range of applications. Their compact, IP67-rated housing allows use in challenging environments, and T30RW models feature IP69K housings for washdown applications.

The Q130R series radar sensors provide reliable detection of moving and stationary targets. The graphical user interface allows simple setup and precise control of the device. Models are available with narrow or wide beam patterns for a wide variety of vehicle detection and collision avoidance applications.

The Q240R series radar sensors reliably detect objects within a narrow beam pattern up to 100 meters away without detecting adjacent objects. Analog output models can provide location information and be used to track objects. Q240R Series radar sensors feature easy setup and range, sensitivity, and output configuration with simple DIP switches.

The QT50R radar sensors are ideal for collision avoidance on-board mobile equipment. Models are available with analog or discrete outputs for both measurement and detection applications. QT50R series radar sensors feature easy setup and range, sensitivity, and output configuration with simple DIP switches.
