High resolution MRS sensor achieves Global Technology Award
CyberOptics was awarded a 2017 Global Technology Award for its Ultra-High Resolution Multi-Reflection Suppression (MRS) sensor for the CyberOptics’ SQ3000 3D AOI system. Premiering in 2005, the Global Technology Awards programme is an annual celebration of product excellence in electronics surface mount assembly. Premier products based on the finest examples of creative advancement in technology are chosen by a distinguished panel of industry experts.
The award was presented to the company during an award ceremony at productronica in Munich, Germany.
CyberOptics has advanced the proprietary Multi-Reflection Suppression (MRS) sensor to an even finer resolution. The Ultra-High Resolution MRS sensor is an available option for the SQ3000 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) system. This sensor enhances the SQ3000 3D AOI platform, delivering inspection performance, suited for the 0201 metric process and micro-electronic applications where an even greater degree of accuracy and inspection reliability is critical.
MRS technology inhibits reflections that can distort the data enabling highly accurate measurement while 3D fusing algorithms merge images together to create highly precise 3D imagery.
Regarding the award win, Subodh Kulkarni, President and CEO of CyberOptics, said: “We are honoured to have won our 5th award for our proprietary MRS sensor technology and SQ3000 system platform. I am proud of our technology team that continues to innovate and advance our capabilities so that we can continue to provide our customers industry-leading solutions that improve their yields and productivity.”
