Automotive sensor business strengthened with acquisitions

The acquisition will expand Sensirion’s global footprint and strengthen its automotive sensor module business. The acquired company will operate under the name Sensirion Automotive Solutions as a legally independent entity of Sensirion. AIC and Sensirion have been collaborating very successfully for many years.

The acquisition includes the sensor and module business of AIC, which designs, manufactures and sells sensor modules for the automotive industry.

Its key products are Auto Defogging Sensors (ADS), Air Quality Sensors (AQS) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) sensors.

With ISO/TS16949-certified factories, R&D centres and sales offices in China, South Korea, Switzerland and the US, as well as a long history of selling to OEMs and 1st tiers.

Sensirion’s product range is a suitable complement and includes gas and liquid flow sensors, differential pressure sensors and environmental sensors for the measurement of humidity and temperature, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), carbon dioxide (CO₂) and Particulate Matter (PM2.5).
