Saelig Introduces Novel Electric Potential Sensor for Non-contact ECG and Gesture Measurements
Saelig Company, Inc. announces the availability of the EPIC Sensor (Electric Potential Integrated Circuit), a new, innovative game-changing electric field sensor. This completely new sensor technology measures electric field changes without requiring physical or resistive contact. EPIC is an award winning, patent-protected sensor that can rapidly measure electric potential sources such as electrophysiological signals or spatial electric fields.
Sony Develops New RGBW Coding and HDR Movie Functions
Sony Corp. today announced the development of two CMOS image sensor models designed for use in smartphones and other devices. They are equipped with Sony's unique RGBW Coding function which allows images to be captured with low noise and high picture quality even in low-light conditions. They also contain Sony's HDR (High Dynamic Range) Movie function which allows brilliant color to be captured even in bright settings. Sony has also developed a m...
Sony Develops Next-generation Back-Illuminated CMOS Image Sensor which Embodies the Continuous Evolution of the Camera
Sony Corp. today announced that it has developed a new next-generation back-illuminated CMOS image sensor which embodies the continuous evolution of the camera. This image sensor layers the pixel section containing formations of back-illuminated structure pixels onto chips containing the circuit section for signal processing, which is in place of supporting substrates for conventional back-illuminated CMOS image sensors.
MEDER Electronic Introduces MK27 Line of Magnetically Activated Reed Sensors
MEDER electronic Inc introduces its new MK27 magnetically activated reed sensor, equipped with a robust aluminum housing that protects the magnet and sensor from extreme environmental conditions as well as against vandalism or sabotage.
TRW Unveils New Generation of Adaptive Airbags to Help Protect Passengers
TRW Automotive Holdings Corp today announcing its next generation of adaptive frontal passenger airbags. TRW's dual contour passenger airbag is capable of adjusting both the airbag pressure and size to help tailor protection according to occupant size and other variables of a crash.
ZMDI SYeNa edacentrum announce innovative technology for affordable auto safety systems
ZMD AG today announced the results of the SyEnA (synthesis-supported design of analog circuits) research project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
Continental Ensures Better Road Safety with New Control Elements
To help the driver’s eyes return to the road more quickly, Continental has integrated haptic signals into touch-sensitive surfaces. At the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show, the company will show how consumer electronics and infotainment are becoming more and more intertwined in vehicles.
High-Voltage Watchdog Timers Enhance Automotive System Safety
As electronic systems take over many of the mechanical functions in a car—ranging from engine timing to steering and braking—there is a growing concern about fault tolerance. There should not be a single point of failure that would prevent a car from at least limping off the road or making it to the nearest service station. Redundant systems, watchdog timers, and other control circuits are used to reroute signals and perform other functions t...
New Evolution Fire Suppression System Is A Breakthrough In Packaging And Installation
A newly evolved version of Lifeline’s widely known Zero 360 fire suppression system is set to change the game once again. The system still uses Lifeline’s unique compression discharge technology, which deploys pure extinguishant in a constant spray pattern, but the traditional mounting bracket and straps have been dispensed with and the bottle is now mounted directly to the vehicle, giving added strength whilst making installation considerabl...
