Featuring a full range of charging lead and wall plug options, the lead is suitable for all vehicles and use across Europe. Ensuring safe and efficient charging, the lead has a ‘thermal’ wall plug which reduces charge current under high load condition.  

Maxim Integrated Products has revealed that its lithium-ion (Li+) battery monitor is being used for the Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid, a sport utility vehicle designed for the North American market. Maxim’s Li+ battery monitor provides self-diagnostics and robust daisy-chained data communications that easily handles the high-voltage requirements of the automotive industry.

Extending their portfolio of TOSLINK fibre optic modules, the TOxX1350-series from Toshiba supports signal transmission from DC or any data rates up to 10Mb/s. Transmission distances of 40-100m can be achieved with a drive current of only 6mA and it is possible to operate the transmitter with a drive current of only 1.5mA to achieve transmission distances of 0.2-50m.

An ultra-low-power boost regulator for photovoltaic and thermoelectric energy harvesting systems has been unveiled by Analog Devices. The ADP5090 boost regulator delivers efficient conversion of harvested power (as low as 10uW) with sub-uW operational losses that stores the maximum amount of energy for future operation.
