Quantum Science wins Innovation category at Warrington Business Awards
Quantum Science has been recognised for its forward-thinking quantum dot solutions at the Warrington (UK) Business Awards.
Quantum Science beat out two other finalists on Thursday (October 20) to take home gold in the Innovation Award category.
The award recognises Quantum Science’s success developing its innovative INFIQ® quantum dots, which efficiently convert light into electrical signals for infrared sensors.
The technology has the potential to revolutionise markets from automation to medicine, as its unique formulation allows Quantum Science to manufacture high-performance quantum dots at an affordable price.
Commenting on the win, Dr Hao Pang, CEO and founder of Quantum Science said: “We’re over the moon that Quantum Science’s ground-breaking work with nanomaterials has been recognised by the judges. We know our quantum dots have the potential to change the world – from self-driving cars to security systems and better smartphone cameras, we’re on the cusp of a technological revolution that high-performance quantum dots will push us over.
“It was excellent to see first-hand the depth and breadth of talent on display by businesses in and around Warrington. We at Quantum Science are pleased to be part of such an outstanding community, with innovation and expertise so clearly on show by all. I offer my congratulations to all the other award winners and finalists.”
The Warrington Business Awards were established in 2015 to celebrate business across the Warrington area.
This year’s ceremony was hosted by radio broadcaster Mark Radcliffe and held at the Mere Golf and Country Club in Knutsford.
The Innovation category recognises business that have introduced an innovative product within the last two years that demonstrates quantifiable benefits against key performance indicators.
