UPS system saves more than 30% in floor space

The transformer-free device delivers 95.4% efficiency in conversion mode and 98% efficiency in Eco-Mode. According to the company, customer savings of more than $1,000 annually can be achieved for every efficiency percentage point gained per 100kW. Featuring a unity power factor design, the UPS system delivers outstanding power capacity, reducing cabling and installation costs. This also saves more than 30% in floor space.

To meet the requirements of a wide range of IT environments, the Liebert eXM features optimised ancillaries, which add significant flexibility. These include matching battery cabinets for extended runtimes, bypass cabinets for full-system maintenance without critical load shutdown, distribution cabinets for subfeed breakers and panel boards to connect to load, and paralleling cabinets for higher capacities or to add redundancy.

The device features a number of intelligence capabilities. These include a robust on-unit LCD panel which manages operational parameters and reduces human error, an Alber battery monitoring option which improves the reliability of backup batteries, and LIFE Services which provide rich lifecycle management. To anticipate, identify, diagnose and respond to problems before they can cause downtime, Emerson experts use advanced service level data and IP-based communications.

For superior operational control, the Liebert eXM UPS system can be used alongside the Emerson Network Power data centre infrastructure management system, the Trellis platform or the Liebert Nform and Liebert SiteScan systems.
