U-Bracket supply delivers up to 650W of continuous output power
The medical grade TMC650 series of 600-650W AC/DC switching power supplies is featured by Tumbler Technologies and TRUMPower, and is BF rated featuring an operation altitude of up to 5000m. The series is designed to meet IEC/EN/UL 60601-1 Edition 3.1, ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1:2012, CSA C22.2 No. 60601-1: 2014 and the 2nd edition of IEC/EN 60950-1.
Withstand voltage is 4000VAC from input to output (2 MOPP), 1500VAC from input to ground (1 MOPP), 1500VAC from output to ground (1 MOPP). Earth leakage current is 300µA maximum at 264VAC, 63Hz. The series includes 12 standard single output models between 12V-58V, delivering 600-650W of continuous power at 30CFM forced air, each of which accepts an input voltage of 90 to 264VAC.
All models may be operated at no-load without damage with the output voltage fluctuating beyond 5% due to the burst-mode operation of the IC control for energy saving purposes.
Having comprehensive protection circuitry, the power supply includes over-voltage, over-current, short circuit, and thermal protections. Additional standard features include PFD, remote sense, output inhibit, and 5VDC standby power.
The units can be fully loaded at -10°C to 50°C ambient, with derating required from 100% at 50°C linearly to 50% at 70°C. The series offers high reliability with its250,000-hour minimum MTBF at full load, 25°C ambient, calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F.
The TMC650 complies with IEC/EN 60601-1-2 4th edition medical EMC and immunity standards including EN 55011/FCC/VCCI class B (conducted and radiated emissions), EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-4-2 (ESD at 15kV air and 8kV contact), EN 61000-4-4, EN 61000-4-5, EN 61000-4-8, EN 61000-4-11. It achieves an efficiency of 90% typically and is compliant with RoHS requirements.
Packaged in a 4x8x2.46” size, the units are constructed on a circuit board that contains a U-bracket for mechanical support and heat sinking. A cover and fan assembly is optional and can be added during manufacturing if user requires the enclosed form factor.
