TRUMPower’s Medically Approved 180W PC Power Supply Meets 1U Height Constraints

The TMPC-180-1U, which contains a 90-265 VAC full range input and active PFC, is approved by UL, cUL and VDE to UL 60601-1, EN 60601-1, IEC 60601-1 medical standards. Its MTBF is higher than 100,000 hours @ +25°C and earth leakage current is typically as low as 150 µA @ 264 VAC. The power supply complies with EN60601-1-2 EMC standards, including EN55011/FCC/VCCI class B (conducted and radiated emissions), EN61000-3-2, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-5, EN61000-4-11. The unit is CE marked and RoHS compliant as well.

The TMPC-180-1U comes with DC output voltages and maximum loads of +3.3V/16.8A/4.5A, +5V/12A/9A, +12V/12A/9A, -12V/0.8A, +5Vsb/2.0A. Maximum total output power is 180W, with the combined output of +3.3V and +5V not exceeding 61W and +3.3V/+5V/+12V limited to 165W. With overall dimensions of 7.48” x 3.21” x 1.59”, its standard output cable set includes a 20-pin motherboard connector, a 12V P4 connector and 4-pin HDD connectors. In order to accommodate special requirements, other connector options are available as well. The unit also meets SFX12V 2.0 standards.

Other features of the TMPC-180-1U consist of output overvoltage, input line fuse, and short circuit protections. Overvoltage protections are 5.7-6.5V for +5V, 3.7-4.5V for +3.3V, 13.3-15.6V for +12V. Overload protection is 150% maximum. The power fail signal delay time is 1 millisecond minimum and hold up time is 17 milliseconds minimum at full load. Before delivery, the power supply withstands 100% burn-in test @ 50°C and 100% hi-pot test. Operation of the power supply is between 0°C to +50°C and it can be stored at -20°C to +80°C. In addition, the unit incorporates a durable ball-bearing fan with noise killer.
