Zigor's Tiber Range run-time increased to several hours

Zigor is expanding the Tiber On-Line UPS range with extended run-time battery options. The 2U rack/tower Zigor Tiber series currently provides up to ten minutes back-up time when operating at full load from its internal batteries. Now new external battery packs set to be released over the coming months will give the new Zigor Tiber models the ability to increase run-time to several hours.

Launched in the United Kingdom in May 2012, the Zigor Tiber uses double conversion technology with two inverters to provide perfect clean sine wave power at all times without using the battery unless the mains fails.

The Zigor Tiber can be floor or rack mounted with an LCD that provides information about input and output voltages, plus load and battery charge status. It is ideal for backing up an individual server, network racks or telephone switch board systems and is available from 1kVA up to 3kVA.

Reviewer Dave Mitchell recently described the Tiber in the December 2012 issue of PC Pro as a “low-cost On-Line UPS well suited to protecting critical systems and gave it 5 out of 5 for value for money.
