TDK introduces GENESYS AC and GENESYS AC PRO

This launch marks a significant expansion of the existing GENESYS series, which includes programmable DC power supplies ranging from 750W to 90kW. With a compact 1U chassis height, the GAC and GAC-PRO models offer the highest power density for fully featured programmable AC power sources.

The GENESYS AC PRO models (GAC-PRO) deliver enhanced DC functionality, allowing for AC, DC, or combined AC+DC operation. These units provide full-rated power and current in DC modes and come standard with advanced features such as waveform generation and harmonics analysis. The GENESYS AC PRO also includes real-time analog control capabilities, essential for complex test scenarios like hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing. Applications for the GENESYS™ AC PRO encompass automated test equipment, avionics airborne equipment, aircraft electrical power, defence (including RTCA, Boeing, and Airbus standards), automotive, e-mobility, and power source testing.

TDK-Lambda's advanced parallel system enables characteristics comparable to a single power supply. Users can combine 2kVA and 3kVA units for additional power or to create multiple phase outputs. The front panel features a capacitive touch display, enhancing robustness over traditional mechanical switches. The interface supports multiple languages, including Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish.

Standard connectivity options include LAN, USB, RS232, RS485, and Analog Programming/Monitoring, with an optional IEEE/GPIB interface. The included remote GUI software offers full control and sequence programming, plus access to pre-programmed test standards for common IEC, aerospace, and marine tests. Utilising these standards can significantly reduce test time, improve consistency, and lower labour costs compared to traditional manual setups.

The GAC02 and GAC03 models measure 423 mm in width, 544.5 mm in depth, and 43.6 mm in height, with a weight of less than 8 kg. Backed by a five-year warranty, the series is safety-certified to IEC/EN/UL 61010-1 and carries CE and UKCA markings for compliance with Low Voltage, EMC, and RoHS Directives. The models also meet IEC/EN 61204-3 standards for conducted and radiated EMI (Class A) and EMC immunity.

In the coming months, TDK-Lambda plans to expand the GENESYS AC line with additional power levels of 6kVA and 9kVA.
