Steatite secures MoD contract to supply Lithium cells
Steatite has secured a major new order worth in excess of £100,000 to supply batteries to the Ministry Of Defence. The contract is for Electrochem size 2/5C, high rate lithium cells and was secured against strong competition
SteaThe high rate lithium 2/5C cells supplied for the new contract are housed in stainless steel containers and utilise advanced spiral wound technology and hermetic glass-to-metal sealing. A wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +93°C underlines their suitability for use in the most demanding applications.
Commenting on the new contract, John Lavery, Managing Director, Steatite Limited said: “This is a very significant and important contract for us to win.
