Danisense has introduced a range of current transducers with voltage output, specifically designed to simplify workflows for engineers working with data acquisition (DAQ) systems.

By integrating the burden resistor directly into the transducer, these devices help eliminate common sources of error, allowing engineers to start measuring current accurately and reliably with just a single datasheet.

In data acquisition systems, engineers often use a variety of instruments beyond traditional oscilloscopes, many of which do not have a direct current sensor. To use a precision current sensor, a burden resistor is typically required for connection, but aligning the specifications of the current sensor with the burden resistor can be a complex process, prone to errors. Danisense’s new transducers solve this problem by incorporating the burden resistor, streamlining the setup process and reducing the risk of miscalculation.

The DS, DM, and DL series transducers from Danisense provide highly reliable and accurate current measurements for both AC and DC currents, ranging from 55A to 3,000A. These products are especially suited to challenging environments and high-temperature applications such as e-mobility, solar power, and wind energy. Danisense’s transducers are equipped with 1V or 10V BNC voltage output connections, large apertures of up to 68mm, and minimal linearity errors, ensuring precision. Built with full aluminium casings for superior electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, they also feature Danisense’s Fluxgate technology, a closed-loop compensated system with fixed excitation frequency and second harmonic zero flux detection, delivering industry-leading accuracy and stability.

For high-power current sensing up to 11kA, Danisense’s DR series offers transducers with voltage output designed for maximum performance. The core of the transducer is optimised for high immunity against external magnetic fields, and additional features include an extra-large aperture of up to 150mm, minimal linearity errors, a 3-pin XLR mini connector for voltage output, and an advanced sensor protection circuit (ASPC), making it a reliable choice for high-power applications.
