Power+ Units to be Installed inNuclear Power Plants via SecureUSA
Power+ Classic units with internal 32x40 Ah batteries are expected to be installed in three different nuclear power plants within the next few months. This project was granted to Gamatronic ESD (Exclusive Stocking Distributor) in Georgia for their 24/7 technology.
GamaBecause the application requires the UPS to feed both 3-phase and single phase motors, Gamatronic's ability to customize the Power was a critical factor in the customer's choice. In addition, the Gamatronic unit is the only one that could be configured for the large, single phase motors requiring 45 kVA.
In order to eliminate inrush currents from motor start-up, Siemens VFD’s will be used between the UPS and the motors for the bollards. When tested, the UPSs performed flawlessly and in accordance with all technical specifications.
