A 105W, AC/DC medical grade power adapter designed to charge Lenovo ThinkPad laptop computers, has been introduced by TRUMPower. The TMP105-20-LNR, which has an output voltage of 20V, comes with a rectangular slim tip plug with a signal pin, making it compatible with Lenovo ThinkPad models such as Helix, T431s, Edge E531, T440s and X1 Carbon.

With 0.98 active power factor, the adapter operates at a 90-264VAC universal input. Measuring 5.76x2.96x1.54”, the power adapter is equipped with the IEC 320/C14 AC inlet and a power-on LED indicator. The IEC320/C6 AC and IEC 320/C18 AC inlets are also available for the adapter. Other connections offered by TRUMPower include the big barrel 'advanced' connector, with dimensions 7.5mm OD and 5.55mm ID, and a 0.8mm diameter signal pin.

The TMP105-20-LNR has an active efficiency of up to 89%, making it compliant with the CEC and Energy Star Level V standards. As well as this, the power adapter is also protected against overvoltage and overcurrent conditions, delivering 150,000 hours minimum MTBF at full load at 25°C ambient per MIL-HDBK-217F.

Offering a low earth leakage current of less than 200µA and a touch current of 100µA maximum at 264VAC, 63Hz, the power adapter is approved to the latest medical standards including the 3rd edition of EN 60601-1, UL 60601-1, and IEC 60601-1, and EN/UL/IEC 60950-1 2nd edition.
