Open frame AC/DC modules do not need active cooling
The RAC48/OF and RAC60/OF open frame power supplies have been introduced by RECOM, offering 48 and 60W outputs, respectively. The Class II modules operate over a temperature range from -20 to +50°C at 100% load and up to 70°C at derated load - typically not requiring active cooling.
The efficient AC/DC power supplies have a long hold-up time of 60ms and consume less than 0.5W in standby mode, making them compliant with the European ErP directive.
RAC48/OF and RAC60/OF are available with output voltages of 5, 12, 15 and 24VDC (adjustable via the on-board preset) and a universal input voltage range of 90 to 265VAC. This, along with 3kVAC per minute isolation, makes the power supplies suitable for use worldwide. The DC outputs are fully protected with over-circuit, over-voltage and hiccup short-circuit protection.
The compact, 4x2" modules are EN55022 EMC (Class B), IEC 60950-1 CB Report, EMC + LVD CE mark, FCC and UL 60950-1 certified. The RAC48/OF and RAC60/OF series are both built with high quality components to ensure a long, trouble-free life and MTBF lifetime (MIL-HDBK217F) of approximately 450,000 hours.
The power supplies are available with RECOM’s standard three year warranty.
