Modular Configurable inverter system from UNIPOWER
UNIPOWER Corporation announces a modular sine wave inverter power system designed to meet the needs of both telecoms and industrial OEM customers. Part of UNIPOWER’s established Gravitas family, the Sabre Series is an integrated power system that can be configured using a variety of modules including sine wave inverters, static transfer switch, control unit and remote communications interface. Sabre Series systems can be expanded to provide up to 24kVA.
Key Sabre Series hot swap sine wave inverter modules achieve power densities as high as 8.36W/in³ and outputs to 1500kVA. Sabre’s static transfer switch module increases system reliability by automatically switching between the sine wave inverter output and the mains. The switch can be programmed to allow the system to operate as a standby power source when AC mains is available, or as the power source with automatic switchover to AC mains in the event of system failure.
The control module allows the user to monitor real-time system status including output voltage, output current and alarm status via an LCD display and LED indicators. The microprocessor-controlled module also permits settings to be programmed through the front panel and, with the Sabre system’s communications interface module installed, remote monitoring and control is possible.
A manual bypass and power distribution module lets the user switch between the sine wave inverter output or utility output for maintenance purposes. To increase applications flexibility, the module allows two ways of supplying AC to the load as standard: As a single bulk output or via up to eight IEC320 or NEMA outlet sockets via magnetic circuit breakers.
All modules in the Sabre Series meet the requirements of all relevant safety standards including UL60950-1, CSA22.2 No. 60950-1 and EN60950-1. The modules are RoHS compliant. Product is currently available from UNIPOWER’s factories located in the U.S. and the U.K.
